Definition of Terms

It is very important to know little of the basics, so let's do a refresh, shall we?

Fashion:

1. A prevailing custom or style of dress, etiquette, socializing, etc.: the latest fashion in dresses.

2. Conventional usage in dress, manners, etc., esp. of polite society, or conformity to it: the dictates of fashion; to be out of fashion.

3. Something, such as a garment, that is in the current mode

4. The style characteristic of the social elite.

Fashion Arbiter:

1. Someone who popularizes a new fashion.

Fashion Designer:

1. Someone who designs clothing.

Fashion Roadkill

1. A person who tries to dress fashionably, but looks ridiculous (slang)

Fashion Victim:

1. You. No im kidding. An informal way of describing a person who follows every clothing trend.

Fashion-monger:

1. One who studies the fashions

Fashionable:

1. Observant of or conforming to the fashion; stylish: a fashionable young woman.

2. of, characteristic of, used, or patronized by the world of fashion.

3. current

Fashioner:

1. A person who fashions, forms, or gives shape to anything.

2. A tailor or modiste.

Fashionist:

1. An obsequious follower of the modes and fashions.

Fashionista:

1. A very fashionable person, esp. one who works in the fashion industry.

Fashionless:

1. Having No Fashion.

Letter From The Editor

Welcome Fashionist!

My name is Ajie. As a child i was always fashion curious, when i was still 7 years old my mother would attend charities and i would be sitting by her side puzzled on how fast she was able to dress herself up but takes too long to stare in the mirror with that quaint smile. It did not take me too long to understand that my mom felt pretty inside. Having worn that vintage Chanel dress she loved so much, i can tell that fashion has always been her source of interest and joy. Growing up, i understood fashion, i was still curious but i was not in bloom yet. Later on i was reading books about fashion's history and form what seemed to be a reading for leasure lead me to curiousity and curiousity lead me to be the person who i am now. A fashionist, like you.

Then i started this blog, i want to share what i have known, i want to impart the knowledge i have enjoyed so much with the hopes that you would learn from what i have also.

What to expect? Lots of things! This blog reeks of fashion madness. I will be talking about almost anything that has to do with fashion and anything dealt in a fashionista kind of way. In the eyes of fashionists like us, the world is a different place.

Whatever this site holds, i hope you would enjoy reading my posts as much as i have enjoyed making them.
